Funeral business · Vaud · Since 1987
Where
Established in 1987, Pompes Funèbres Blanchet & Wiesmann is a family-run funeral home, now led by its third generation, with its main office in Renens in the canton of Vaud. The business grew out of the takeover by Jean-Paul Blanchet, who was soon joined by his daughter Evelyne Wiesmann-Blanchet and then by Philippe Wiesmann. For nearly four decades it has upheld a human, discreet approach centred on the dignity of grieving families.
Available day and night throughout the canton of Vaud, the team responds quickly when a death occurs and supports each family at every step. The planning meeting can take place in your home, at one of the offices in Renens, Cossonay or Nyon, or anywhere else that suits you. From the first call to the ceremony itself, relatives are guided with respect for the wishes of the deceased and for every formality involved.
Their services span the full organisation of funerals, care and placing in the coffin, the choice of a religious or secular ceremony venue, the printing of death notices and thank-you cards, repatriation to and from abroad, and all administrative and legal formalities. Funeral pre-planning is handled through Alpha Prévoyance Funéraire. The firm holds the Swiss federal diploma in funeral directing (brevet fédéral), a recognised mark of professional competence.
