SwissDonations is a Swiss non-profit association, founded in Geneva in 2021, whose mission is to promote and facilitate giving in support of charitable organisations active in Switzerland.
Born from the initiative of a few volunteers based between Geneva and Zurich, the association started from a simple observation: giving should feel as natural as paying a bill, and yet the gesture often remains complicated, scattered across multiple websites, hard to keep track of from one year to the next. SwissDonations therefore built a digital platform that brings Swiss charities of every kind together in one place, whether social, humanitarian, environmental or cultural, allowing donors to discover them, compare them and support them in moments, in complete security.
The principle is clear and free of grey areas: the service is entirely free, both for donors and for the charities that benefit from it. The full amount donated goes to the chosen organisation, as SwissDonations covers the transaction fees. No commission is taken from anyone's generosity. The platform also lets donors keep an overview of their giving and easily retrieve the receipts needed for their tax return.
A non-profit association recognised as being of public utility and exempt from taxation, SwissDonations pursues no commercial aim. It is run by volunteers and lives on the support of those who believe that a well-guided donation goes further.
