Death notice

A good person can make other people good; it means that goodness will elicit goodness in the society.

Funere pays tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, King of Thailand from 1946 to 2016, who passed away on October 13, 2016, in Bangkok. Born on December 5, 1927, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was the world’s longest-reigning monarch at the time of his death and a deeply revered figure in Thai history. Throughout his seventy-year reign, King Bhumibol devoted himself to improving the lives of his people through over 4,000 development projects focused on agriculture, education, and sustainability. His “Sufficiency Economy Philosophy” became an international model for balanced and ethical progress. Remembered as a compassionate and visionary leader, he remains a symbol of unity, humility, and wisdom. His legacy continues to guide Thailand toward harmony and sustainable growth.
