Music is the voice of the soul, and I just tried to let mine be heard.

Funere pays tribute to Levi Stubbs, lead singer of the legendary Motown group The Four Tops, who passed away on October 17, 2008, in Detroit. Born on June 6, 1936, Stubbs was one of the most distinctive and passionate voices in soul music. With timeless hits such as Reach Out I’ll Be There, Baby I Need Your Loving, and I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch), he helped define the sound of an era. Known for his emotional delivery and loyalty to his bandmates, Stubbs remained with The Four Tops for more than four decades. His voice lives on as a symbol of sincerity, love, and the timeless power of soul.
